Looking for a bit of indie pop to round off your Wednesday evening? Brooklyn synthpoppers Chaos Chaos will bring their off-the-wall sounds to White Oak Music Hall on Wednesday, September 19th, and it promises to be an awesome time!
Chaos Chaos was formed in Seattle under the name Smoosh in 2000 and adopted their current name in 2012. The band consists of two sisters, who founded the band as children: singer/keyboardist Asya "Asy" Saavedra and drummer Chloe Saavedra.
Chaos Chaos has been continuously releasing music since their beginnings as Smoosh, but it wasn’t until 2014 that the sister duo received mainstream recognition for the track “Do You Feel It?”, which was featured on an episode of the hit television series Rick and Morty. This brought the band a lot of recognition.
In 2017, the duo released the single "Terryfold", which features lead vocals from Rick and Morty co-creator and voice actor Justin Roiland. The song became the band's first charting single when it debuted at #33 on the Billboard Hot Rock Songs chart in September 2017. At the request of Kim Kardashian West, Chaos Chaos and Justin Roiland collaborated a second time to produce a song for Kanye West (a Rick and Morty fan) as a birthday present. “Kanye’s B-Day Song” was released on West’s 41st birthday in June 2018 and features the characters’ vocals.
Catch all the Ricky and Morty-themed music you can handle when you see Chaos Chaos live at White Oak Music Hall this month. Yeek will accompany the duo. Tickets are available for purchase online.
